Terms of Service
Last updated 22 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Kiran Kumar Ale, trading as ShortWright (“ShortWright”, “we”) for use of the ShortWright website and application. By creating an account you accept them.
What ShortWright does
ShortWright generates short-form videos from a subject you supply, and can publish them to third-party platforms you connect. It uses AI models to write, voice and generate footage.
Your account
You must be 16 or older, give accurate details, and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
Plans, credits and payment
Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle shown at checkout, and renew automatically until cancelled. Generation consumes credits.
Credits are consumed when generation runs, not when you like the result. AI generation sometimes produces output you will reject, and that attempt has already cost us the compute. We do not refund credits for output you did not like. We do refund credits for renders that fail because of a fault on our side.
Cancel any time; you keep access until the end of the paid period. We do not pro-rate partial periods unless the law where you live requires it. Prices can change with 30 days' notice, which will never affect a period you have already paid for.
Content you own, and the licence you give us
You own the subjects and scripts you supply and, as between you and us, the videos ShortWright generates for you. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service — to store, process, transmit and, where you have asked us to, publish your content.
We do not use your content to train AI models.
Content generated by AI
AI output cannot be guaranteed original, accurate or free of third-party rights. You are responsible for reviewing what ShortWright produces before it goes out under your name. We provide the tool; you are the publisher.
Every video published through ShortWright is labelled as containing AI-generated or synthetic content, using each platform's own disclosure mechanism. You may not disable this, and you may not present ShortWright output as unaltered footage of real events.
Acceptable use
You may not use ShortWright to create or publish:
- The likeness or voice of a real person without their documented consent, including public figures.
- Content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any sexualised depiction of a real person without consent.
- Content that harasses, threatens, defames or incites violence against anyone.
- Medical, legal or financial claims presented as professional advice, or health misinformation.
- Deceptive content about elections, or material designed to mislead about who is speaking.
- Malware, spam, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour on any connected platform.
We may review content reported to us or flagged automatically, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that breach this section. Serious breaches end the account without refund.
Third-party platforms
When you connect YouTube, Instagram or Facebook you must also comply with their terms, including the YouTube Terms of Service and the Meta Terms of Service. Those platforms can change their rules, rate limits or APIs, or reject a post, at any time and without notice to us. We are not responsible for their decisions, and a rejected or removed post is not a failure of this service.
Availability
We aim to keep ShortWright running but do not promise uninterrupted service. Generation depends on third-party AI providers, which have their own outages and queues. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue something you rely on, we will give reasonable notice and let you export your work.
Liability
ShortWright is provided as-is, without warranties beyond those the law requires and cannot exclude. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost audience, or indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Indemnity
You will cover our reasonable costs if a third party brings a claim against us arising from content you created or published with ShortWright in breach of these terms.
Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason, refunding any unused prepaid period. On closure we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Videos already published to third-party platforms remain there.
Changes to these terms
We will email you at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use ShortWright after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, India have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to bring proceedings where you live.
